Applied for electromagnetics track

Sorry for posting late. UT Austin did a mass rejection on 28th July. I wonder if anyone got an admit after 15th April. My case: professor accepted me but university rejected me. Computer Architecture Track! All future applicants - PLEASE DON'T RELY UPON UT AUSTIN. Some professors are very good but the university's administrative people are shit! Internal Politics is spoiling the education.

Someone, please clear. So, there were no admits for MS in ECE for UT Austin? I'm from a top college in India and I know people who got into Stanford but not Austin. Did they give out even one admit?

Word of warning to future applicants-- use extreme caution when applying to this program. All students, whether accepted or rejected, have had to wait until today for their decision. No communication of the delay or justification was given by the department and graduate admissions (a separate entity) will wash their hands of the issue as soon as they forward the materials to the review committee. If UT Austin is the ONLY university you plan to attend then it makes perfect sense to apply and wait for their decision. However, if you're applying to multiple universities you should understand that UT has no policy obliging them to make decisions by a specific date. If you are accepted to another university with a commitment deadline, there's little reason to expect UT to release their decision in time. In other words, if you aren't prepared to hold out on other offers and drop everything to move to Austin, TX within 3 weeks, your application is effectively a direct donation to UT.

After > 7 months, a rejection with no explanation at all. ACSES Track Applicants for next year, please find out from them if they are actually going to enroll anyone or not. There seem to be no admits at all. Waste of time, money and efforts. Auto reply emails from graduate program coordinator. Didn't expect this from UT Austin ECE.

When the ACSES track results weren't declared by April 15, I expected it to be a rejection anyway. It's fascinating that it took them so long. Did anyone get ACSES admit for Fall 2020 or is this a mass rejection?

ACSES track. Generic reject. Better late than never i guess. Future international students be informed whether they are acutally providing this track for you. Such information is conveniently missing while you are going through application process.

TTPB: I swear. I mean $90 for nothing? Graduate school office does not respond, program coordinator won't stop automated reply. They're really take our time, effort and money for granted. Applying is not an easy job.
