Rejected from another RU program and was invited to send my application to this CCIB program

To the previous...posters? This is what I was told. Many interviews, few acceptances. SoLS doesn't have any training grants and ASU is public-little funding, and they only make offers if they can do that. The school is bracing for some potential financial woes, and they didn't have their budget when they sent out invites for interviews, so they didn't know how many students they could take. I was told PI funding is the biggest hurdle this year. I also contacted some individuals and it looks like there were not too many people who were accepted. Where they are in this process, I can't say. Fingers crossed for those of us who haven't heard.

I promise you-they interviewed a tonnnnn of students and have few spots. I wouldn't keep getting people's hopes up. For MOST programs, even outside of ASU, an interview absolutely doesn't mean you'll be accepted. Far from. They interviewed way more students than they had positions, and that's straight from the grad office.

TTPB: From my POI who asked the grad office. Regardless, they held wayyyyyy more interviews than they have spots, unfortunately.

TTPB: 300 interviews? This doesn't really sound right to me. During my interviews we were around 60 applicants total, and we were being told that only two recruitment events had been organized. Where did you get your info, if I can ask?

TTPB: Apparently they interviewed 300 applicants in SoLS this year for very, very few spots. I know one program had two spots. I know Bio interviewed 40 people and has less than 8 spots. IMO, if you didn't hear back, there's probably a reason. I'm assuming rejection for myself at this point.

To the poster who asked me about having taken part to the interview: Yes, I have participated to the recruitment event/interview. I'm just super nervous because I've seen that other programs in SoLS have started posting their acceptances here, and I still have received no real news. Thank you for having taken the time to reply!

Email stating an update on portal. Check the admission decision and got an offer.

TTPB: I do know Houston was attacked by coldness since I am still working here. However, I don't think the revision of applications will be stunned by coldness.
