Interviewed Jan 19-21, on Feb 3rd I got an email from admin telling me to fill out their s*xual misconduct disclosure form for prospective students so I pretty much knew then. lmfao. oh to receive an unofficial acceptance via a harassment disclosure form

"Congratulations on your admittance to the Electrical & Computer Engineering PhD program at the University of Washington in Seattle." My first admit. Had an interview in mid January. B. Tech from IIIT Jabalpur, India. GPA: 9/10, 5 publications, 2 conferences, 2 under review. Full tuition fee waiver, regular half-time stipend (2871 usd/month), and other health insurance....

Is there anyone who got in or interviewed?

Does this program always have an interview for selection? Has anyone else received the interview?

I had a competitive application and a good match, but I terribly bombed the interview. Props to the professors, the interview was the most serious and packed one in which I participated. Good luck all.

Have three publications in progress. Had some research experience and three pretty strong recommendation letters. Graduated with a master's degree in public policy (GPA 3.95). Well, kinda expected. Talked with the department director before submitting my application. He liked my experience and thought it might be a good fit but then basically told me that they were really POOOOOOOOR and had no funding for international students since the only limited funding they had was from the US government. He did suggest reaching out to some PIs to see whether it is possible for them to fund me through their project grants. But it seems like the last time someone got this kind of funding was long ago. I lost interest at that point and did not spend too much time connecting with their professors. Anyway, in one word, don't apply for this program if you don't have an American passport or green card=)

International, got accepted today via application portal; no official email notification yet...

Received notification via email this evening. No GRE submitted, strong LORs, and some research experience at a large state university.

I received a generic, yet extremely long rejection email(it's 3 unnecessary paragraphs). Not the end of the world. Congrats to everyone who got in—keep the faith if you've been waitlisted :)
