wasn't expecting this at all, really really really hoping i get off the wait list as this is one of my top choices!

2a/5w/3r xD

This is my #1. Please decline if you plan not to attend! Or else I will endure unimaginable pain and suffering.

Acceptance letter didn't include financial offer

Wrapping up the season with this rejection. Though I have one pending decision, that matters nothing, will not go there. Was enthusiastic about Pittsburgh, but got better options. 6a/2w/3r/1p

I reached out to UConn because I had not heard. Only then did I get a rejection email, which essentially told me that even though I was not being considered, I wouldn't receive a rejection until after April 15th. Idk if this is a common occurrence, but I find it to be a bit disrespectful either way, after all the time we spend on these apps. The email I was sent is below: "Thank you for your email and continued interest in UConn’s MA program. At this time, we have issued offers of acceptance to a very small number of applicants, as well as notifications to a few others that they have been placed on a selective waitlist. It is unlikely that we will move beyond our waitlist this year. Official decisions for all remaining applicants will likely be released after the April 15th deadline, as UConn adheres to the Council of Graduate Schools’ (CGS) “April 15 Resolution”: April 15 Resolution - CGS (cgsnet.org). Applicants who have received offers have until April 15th to respond."

email for status update. Should've listened to prof and applied complit...

generic letter

Accepted. Planning my specialization on Children's Literature!

Accepted with full funding! Applied under British & Irish Literary Studies subtrack.

Received a kind email from the graduate chair with an offer for a TA position. She mentioned that the admission website was temporarily down, so keep an eye on your email!

Got the admission letter via portal today. Haven't received anything about funding yet.

Waitlisted for funding, but really really hoping to go

Composition focus. I am absolutely devastated. This was my dream program.

honestly a bit surprised by this one! gpa is MA, 1a/6r/1w/8p

got a whole bunch of rejections in one day :) honestly nice to see that the applications are moving. gpa is MA, 1a/4r/1w/10p

Notified via email! MA GPA is 4.0

I have no idea if this is an actual waitlist-- checked my portal for any updates (saw all the acceptance + waitlist phone calls last weekend), and saw a new decision made page which only says, "your application has been placed on a waiting list." not sure if this is actually a waitlist (I've gotten 0 emails, texts, or phone calls), or a silent rejection? not even notified there's been a change to my portal
