TPB: just an hour ago! rejected because I have already accepted MSU's offer.

To the poster below, I was wondering if there was an FB page as well! :)

TPB: I was near West Lafayette, so I went to ask what was up. They told me all first round offers have been made and that after April 15th, they will re-evaluate. Basically if you haven't heard you're on waitlist.

TBP: This is the response I received when I asked for an update: At this time decisions are still being made by the committee. We expect all decisions to be made by April 15.

Did anyone hear anything for this program?

Moved from waitlist to accepted. Now 2a/3w/8r/14

I don't really understand why Purdue would reject me. I have a 4.0 GPA, tons of experience as an English TA, Writing Assistant, and English tutor, a study abroad experience at Oxford, a strong writing sample, strong rec letters, etc. I'm so surprised. The only reason I can think of is the fact that I didn't go to a big-name school for my undergrad. Anybody else surprised?

TTPB: I mailed them and asked about application status. Got the reply as 'Your application is complete and awaiting a decision. Admission decisions will be sent out through e-mail. Unfortunately, we have no specific time frame on when you will receive an admissions decision'. Why are they taking so much time??

Any news from Purdue regarding PhD decision notification deadline? Is it possibly too late and one can assume to be rejected?

I didn't hear anything from them until now, is there any chance that I will get admitted by GRE is pretty low.

Got official recommendation by the department to PMP Program.

Anybody who heard back anything from Purdue? Purdue has been done with admissions decisions?

I emailed the department regarding status of my application and got the following reply: "Unfortunately, at this time, you are not being recommended for admission to the Computer Science program. We do not send denials until late in the spring because denials cannot be reversed so we wait until we are 100% done with admissions before sending denial notices. Thank you."

I emailed the graduate department since I have not heard anything and need to make a decision and they responded with a rejection letter.

'Thank you for your interest in the Purdue University Life Science program. I just wanted to touch base with you and inform you that there has been a delay in the determining and announcing the final decisions of the admissions committee. Your patience during this time and process are greatly appreciated. We hope to have the final decisions released very soon.' Received this today
