I applied around 10th January 2017 and it still shows 'in review'. I asked them and they said decisions to be sent out by 15th april, but no news (accept/reject) yet. Anyone from maths have any idea?

Has anyone on the waiting list heard back? All I know is that it works by subfield. Does anyone know something else about the waiting list? (Number of people, decisions, etc)

To person below applying for physics, I have applied to 3 supervisors (Theoretical Condensed Matter, Experimental Condensed Matter, Theoretical High Energy) and the first two profs said they had no space left, whereas as the third one (along with a 4th prof also in Theoretical HEP) said he was willing to take me but had no funding and therefore couldn't. It seems in general that profs not having available funding in the theoretical groups is somewhat of an issue right now, and profs in the physics department are not allowed to take students without providing them directly/indirectly with funding.

'a significant new decision has been made on your application for admission' is kinda a slap in the face when the decision isn't actually significant. Prof's funding was in limbo and he didn't have the numbers

Application still in review. Not heard anything about it. UK graduate with MPhys (integrated master's). Decent first, 75%, 84% dissertation.

Applied Mathematics BS & Data Science MS. Experience in research and consulting.

Have another graduate degree, undergrad GPA was 3.9. No library experience, but some work experience in the field I'd like to specialise in. Out of province Canadian.
