Hi guys..my application has passed preliminary review had to secure funding within a week. I guess it's difficult..i hate this school. If anyone in the same track ping me.

I actually got admitted to the MEng program for winter 2021 but there is no option for that. Submitted my application in June.

Rejected with standard notes. Canadian.

application submitted on 10 October, 2019 and received rejection today. Supervisor said its perhaps due to the visa complications that university didn't extended the offer. Don't know if its true! they have taken hell of a time in responding

I applied for PhD in chemical engineering, did masters from a Canadian university with two published papers. Attended GRD in February, secured two potential supervisors, a domestic candidate. Dept email me back I still need to find a supervisor. Got an insight due to Covid, everything is so uncertain, very selected people will get hire/may be not. Meng has a good chance!

Anybody here got any news from the chemical engineering dept? My status "Documents Received (excl. official transcripts)"! Don't know I am rejected or my application is under review!

I am part of a program that UCLA normally grants application fee waivers to and my fee waiver status has been under review since December. I recently got an email, three weeks after April 15th, to check my application status. It told me that my fee waiver was denied and that I had to pay to view my application decision. Had they done this with ample time before the decision deadline I would have no problem paying but at this point it is insulting, considering myself and others have practically been ghosted by the department. It feels they are only trying to squeeze an extra $120 out of me. Good luck to the others that applied!

Submitted application in the late March. Emailed them two weeks ago and they said they still review applications. Hope I can get admission from there.

Received email to check the decision portal, happy that I finally got into UCLA.

Did not receive an email or any notification. Just logged onto the portal and found the decision there. I don't get why it took them this long honestly and they didn't even send out notifications for us to know that the decisions were posted. Worst application experience ever.

Honestly wasn't a great fit, still the classic ''I strongly encourage you to apply'' led me to waste $$$ and effort while the prof probably waited for better candidates. FAIR!
