Rejection Email: Thank you for your application to the graduate program in Media Arts and Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for Fall 2022. We regret that we are not able to offer you admission. We received more than 900 applications and were able to admit less than 3%. In selecting so few from a large and talented group, we must turn down many qualified applicants. We wish you the best for your future plans.

Received a phone call on Thursday afternoon from my interviewer, said official email will come Friday.

Gutted. Rejected from 16 programs this cycle. GPA is grad and I have two master's degrees. One in demography and one in data science. I am on the editorial team of an international journal but have no publications of my own. Congratulations to everyone admitted though.

Didn't submit GRE score. Got an email with the acceptance letter attached, I was interviewed with three faculty members in the last few weeks.

Results were emailed. GL to all those out there. I was rejected from all other schools prior to acceptance.

After careful review of your application to the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission. Each year the admissions process challenges the DUSP community because the quantity and quality of applicants exceeds the resources of the department. This year the department received hundreds of applications from exceptional students, and the last several weeks the admissions committees have been busy reviewing applications. The process of determining which individual applicants are admitted is difficult, but we encourage you to continue working towards your future in planning. While you are likely disappointed in this outcome, we appreciate the time and effort you spent applying to DUSP. We wish you the best as you pursue your academic and professional goals.
