- After careful review of your application to the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission. Each year the admissions process challenges the DUSP community because the quantity and quality of applicants exceeds the resources of the department. This year the department received hundreds of applications from exceptional students, and the last several weeks the admissions committees have been busy reviewing applications. The process of determining which individual applicants are admitted is difficult, but we encourage you to continue working towards your future in planning. While you are likely disappointed in this outcome, we appreciate the time and effort you spent applying to DUSP. We wish you the best as you pursue your academic and professional goals.
