MCS. No funding. Email says funding possible on arrival through TA/RAship.

Accepted into the combined JD/MA program (already a JD student)

Informed that more than 60 applications, only admit 3.

Not any email to inform me the decision...

Same as the below post. Got rejection without interview but got interviewed from better ranking schools. I suppose it is a good thing because they are interviewing students that have relatively high prob to join. U Florida, mentioned in the post below , are one of the schools that are doing the opposite: giving campus interviews to very competitive applicants but probably too good to join them in the first place. I'm being normative or saying which way is better but each department does have different recruiting strategy.

I emailed because my status hadn't changed on the website, and I wondered if COVID-19 was delaying anything. Anyway, found out I'm waitlisted. If you're not going to accept Iowa, please tell them so I stand a chance!

Handwritten note: "Thanks for the good application."

much more impersonal waitlist letter than my other waitlisted school (WUSTL); offered zero encouragement to get in touch/ask questions. i guess they are prestigious enough that they don't have to?

no note, car gone!
