Non-UK/non-US international applicant. Submitted: 6 Jan; DP: 11 Feb; Acceptance: 3 March.

Some informal rejections sent out yesterday over email, to those who inquired directly. If you're waiting to hear from this program before you accept your offer from other schools, don't hesitate to email for clarity.

Got TA assistantship and Dean’s scholarship. Very nice email from director of grad studies. Very happy about this and very generous funding. 1a/1w/9r/4p

1a/0w/2r/1p

Email with my offer letter, status not yet updated in portal. Received full funding for second year, no word on funding for the first year.

Called the Chair of the English Department this morning to get a status update and he informed me that I had been accepted with a fellowship. GPA is MA.

GPA is Master's. I got a personal email and then an email telling me to check my portal. So far it's been the only non-rejection!

GPA is MS. 0a/6r/2p. Cannot say it's looking great

Email to check portal. I really only have one PhD opportunity still open and maybe some masters. I really don't think it's going to work out for me this cycle though. I want this so bad that it's genuinely painful to get these decisions.

Taking the L today. Good luck to everyone!

No email, just checked portal when other rejections got posted. Really bummed about this one, this was my top choice. 3a/4w/4r/3p

Thank you for your application to the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at Tufts University. The academic department to which you applied has completed its review of your application materials. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you admission to the program of study leading to the Doctor of Philosophy in English at this time. The department carefully evaluates all applicants and examines many different facets of the background of each individual, and each individual is then reviewed relative to other applicants. Although we were impressed by your qualifications, ours is a small school with limited enrollment. We receive a large number of applications and there are many fine candidates whom we, unfortunately, are unable to accommodate. We appreciate your interest in the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at Tufts University, and wish you success going forward in your academic career

PLEASE decline your spot if you have other offers.

I was told decisions would come out by the latest today. Has anyone heard back or had a letter uploaded to their portal?

Good luck, everyone!
