The university stated that they only extended offers to 7 out of 711 applications.

They have not sent the official announcement yet. I emailed the director to ask for the decision for my application, and she told me I was rejected because they met funding crisis.

Didn’t receive an interview invite. Received an email saying check application status portal, as there is a letter on your decision waiting. Opened up portal to the rejection later. The next day received an email from PI explaining the process of the decision and offering their office hours if confused or needing support in the next steps on my journey. Talked about lack of funding and resources this year making the applicant pool of 711 to only have 7 accepted. ( < 1%)

Email to check portal. Standard rejection message.

Duke University Graduate School Decision Notification: A decision or update has been posted to your applicant portal.

Email to check portal, generic rejection. Not surprised as it has been radio silence for awhile
