Please PLEASE withdraw your application if you have a better offer. Help out your fellow applicants :/

Happy

Just a weird, quirky process from them from beginning to end, right from the first moment when they make you submit everything twice.

My personal experience: For international students that are not staying in the US, don't apply for non-top-tier campus visiting schools, like Rice, Florida, Arizona State, Penn State. Except you are super great, you would not invite you for interviews since your travel cost is much higher than others; they don't lack decent applicants anyways.

TTPB: did you have an interview?

Good afternoon, If you are receiving this e-mail then that means our department has accepted you into our program. Some of you have admit letters already and a lot of you are still waiting. If you have your admit letter please disregard this e-mail.

Not very cordial: I asked by email and they sent me the standard letter of rejection.

TPB: I am an international student with the highest degree from USA (Grad GPA: 3.93). I received a notification of acceptance approximately two weeks ago. I had had no affiliation with the University of Florida before I submitted my application in November. The offer included a full funding package. So far this is the only fully funded offer I have received. 2a/2wl/3r/3ir/6p

Never received any application updates, so upon communication with the graduate coordinator I learned that I was very high on the waitlist. At this point in the cycle this program is my top choice, so please let admissions know as soon as you have come to a decision!

Has anyone heard from USF yet? I emailed on Friday 3/6 to ask when we would expect to hear back. Received a response the same day that said expect to hear back within the next week or so. The faculty were finalizing their decision.

TPB: It seems that UFL never responds to the application email, and they may just admit 5-6 students every 2 years according to past years' data.

I emailed them asking for an update on the application process - "All applications are currently being reviewed by the Admissions Committee. We will let you know if we need anything further to complete your application. You will be notified via email once decisions have been finalized."

my first choice!!! so excited!!!
