- My personal experience: For international students that are not staying in the US, don't apply for non-top-tier campus visiting schools, like Rice, Florida, Arizona State, Penn State. Except you are super great, you would not invite you for interviews since your travel cost is much higher than others; they don't lack decent applicants anyways.
