The e-mail said it was another "huge year of applicants" and that only 2% were offered a spot.

They say it's a short wait list. Fingers crossed! 0a/1w/1r + into phase 2 at Ole Miss

Was wait-listed last year, and didn't make it in. So thrilled!!! Hang in there and don't give up!

will hear about TA in early March.

!!!!!!!!!

Just in case others were worried about an email that got sent out about applications being unsubmitted: Several of our applicants to the English graduate program received emails yesterday from the UK Graduate School stating that “you have begun an application but have yet to submit it to the Graduate School.” We believe that this was a glitch in the Graduate School’s automated application systems, and we have contacted them for clarification about this error. We want to assure you that we have received your submitted application, and we will be in touch soon with an admissions decision.

First school I've heard from. Four still to go!

"It is my pleasure to inform you that the Graduate Policy Committee of the Department of English has recommended your admission to the doctoral program in English. Your application now proceeds to the UWM Graduate School for final approval, and if your application package is complete you should receive final word from them shortly." Also placed on a waitlist for a TAship. Excited but also nervous about funding.

Full-court shot and.... I like to think I at least hit the backboard.

I was eating a combination sushi roll in my car when I checked my email. Kinda perfect. The department informs me assistantship notifications will be sent out in a couple of weeks. Feels real good.

first notification - oh well. a very kind email. best of luck, everyone! 0a/0w/1r
