It appears you will not be admitted to our program after all. We are very sorry for the confusion created by our department level welcome letter, but it is beyond our control." | ||||

To the poster below: I was in contact with my POI before and after applying. As I didn't get any decision from admissions, I mailed POI asking if he had made any decision on my application. Luckily, I got a reply and he still had vacancies. He was interested in my previous work and had a skype conversation. I guess everything depends on the POI having an interest in your application more than anything else. | ||||
