- To the poster below: I was in contact with my POI before and after applying. As I didn't get any decision from admissions, I mailed POI asking if he had made any decision on my application. Luckily, I got a reply and he still had vacancies. He was interested in my previous work and had a skype conversation. I guess everything depends on the POI having an interest in your application more than anything else.
