TTPB: If they're accepting you for Spring 2022 why are they giving you only until May 26 to decide? Weird, they're giving the Fall 2021 admits until June 2...

TTPB who was accepted for Spring 2022: Were you waitlisted before this? Did you get the official waitlist email? Mind sharing stats? Congrats btw!

I got an acceptance email today for CS (Data Science) and CS (AI) MS programs for Spring 2022. Semester. I live in LA, so might just take it. Deadline to reply is May 26. I know its damn expensive.

Got the waitlist email like everyone else. Withdrew application to accept offer from another top university. FYI, on the admitted student's webinar yesterday, this other university stated they are aware of the visa troubles especially for India, and are going to offer online option for the Fall semester for those who are not able to obtain a visa in time. For those still waiting on USC decision, I would reach out to their program and ask if USC is planning on providing such accommodation for their students as well. Hope this helps.

TTPB: no, wasn't on waitlist. received mail on friday about status update but the letter was available on monday. so for 3 days didn't know the actual decision

TTPB who got admit from USC, were you on waitlist prior to getting the admit.

ttpb: Congrats on your admit! did you receive any email on 14th an the decision was posted today?

Was frequently checking the website (a couple of times everyday) and this time there was a notification. Although the date says 14th May, the decision wasn't there yesterday. Best of luck everyone.

TTPB: So this majority by June sounds so much similar to their update saying majority decisions by April end! What about finding roommates and housing (As I've seen many people have already booked their apartments). What about emergency visa slots? With the other admit I have, I'll be eligible to apply for that by 15th June and I am still not able to find a single slot for that purpose since 1 week. So, I'll even have to wait for the final i20 of USC. I submitted my financial documents but when I contacted them, they said they'll just add it to my application and once I get an admit, they'll take upto 2 weeks to verify them and after that a week to get an i20. While the people who already have USC's i20 will be eligible to apply for emergency slots by 10th June. DAMNNNN IT!!! With this reputation, the management really sucks there! This really shows how highly they regard the international students are willing to pay lakhs of rupees to study over there.

Contacted one of the viterbi officials today. He said they'll try and release majority of waitlist decisions by 1st june as and when people drop their seats. But they can even release the decisions in June and July as they've kept the deposit deadline as 2nd June. Tbh, narrow chances of admit and no point waiting more as the embassies aren't opening much visa slots since past 10 days. Hardly a few could get one slot and even the emergency slots would be affected.

Reason: No space available A number of rejects were sent out today, with a lot of them having the above as the reason.

This is an update on my application which was not processed as the DoB was wrong. I received a notification on 11th May that my USC ID was created, and today (13th May) that I have received an offer and need to submit financial docs. Funny situation. They took 4 months to start reviewing and 2 days to review. Anyways, everyone who's still waiting please contact the office to ensure that your application has been reviewed at least. Good luck!

I asked the question below and received rejection in 3 hrs lol. Finally got a closure for Fall 21 term.
