To the Iowa posters below, she literally said "We can only refund the UI application fee." I got pissed off as well. This isn't right....They should've known this would come. How could they just withdraw all applications and not think about time + other costs we spent for the application? I even thought of emailing ETS but I don't think they will refund...... | ||||

For those who have applied for Tippie Econ PhD: Don't you think we also need to get back our reporting fee for TOEFL and GRE which is around $50? I think getting back our application fee is not enough. We were asked to report our official TOEFL (if applicable) and GRE scores, but the department suddenly decided to admit none after the deadline. I strongly believe that this should have announced before hundreds of people wasting their time and resources. | ||||

The rejection came as a direct, personal email, so I'm mostly sad that I wasn't admitted to a program that takes the time and care to reach out to each person individually, instead of just "updating a status."
