Email to check application portal; standard rejection letter. Surprised since I thought my interview was strong :(

NOT WL. Does anyone have any updates? It's been 10+ weeks.

Congrats to those of our cohort that made it in

Got accepted to NYU Vilcek but just declined the offer because I got accepted to Harvard BBS. Hope someone can get off the waitlist.

I hadn't heard back, so I emailed the admissions director inquiring about my status, and she let me know that I had been accepted and would receive my formal email and letter in the application portal soon, which is not updated as of yet. Additional details: I have a bachelors degree in Public Relations & Strategic Communication at a small private college and I have four years of Intel experience with a combat deployment in the military.

Opening a dedicated thread on student room forum. Let's connect-Phd candidates

Interdisciplinary (Anthropology, Global Studies, Environmental Studies) BA from school in New York. Lots of research grants and ethnographic experience, weak traditional extracurriculars (such as clubs, sports, etc. Most of my free time was spent on independent research). Academic experience and volunteering pretty heavily focused on migration, and non-academic professional experience (3 internships) more related to environmental studies than migration directly. Exemplary student in the bubble of my undergraduate university, but perhaps average compared to students across other universities, especially Ivy leagues. Also applied for the MSc in Forced Migration and Refugee studies, and was rejected by email a few days after acceptance into the Migration Studies program. Very similar application materials for both (but tailored for each course), so must have been stiff competition this year.

3.8 undergraduate GPA from an Ivy League University, with relevant research and work experience.

Admitted with a scholarship in the amount of 75% of total tuition. :)

American student with a master's degree and bachelor's degree, both 3.9 GPAs. Relevant government related experience and strong letters of recommendation. Competition must have been crazy this year.

2 years out of undergrad. 3 languages, relevant work and volunteer experience, did undergraduate research.

Ignore waitlist, in line with the two posters below, women and gender studies and architecture PhD. Please do update if you happen to hear! Best wishes

Not waiisted: Reply to tge poster below. I havent heard a thing either! I check everyday...maybenext week I hope

I already accepted an offer at my top choice, anyways. Still rude of them to wait until late March to release results. Best of luck to others.

Received an email at midnight. Congrats to all admitted!

I checked the portal at midnight before an email was sent and saw a rejection :( Good luck to everyone

Hi everyone! Posted earlier about receiving a "first-tier alternate". I'm not too sure what it means but I perceive it as being waitlisted. For anyone still interested in the program I've heard it's a good idea to email and reiterate your interest in the program for their consideration! :)
