Sent a kindly-worded, informal email. Good luck to everyone else!

To poster below, my last name starts with "F"

Wasn't terribly unexpected. But still salty All the same.

Thank you for applying to the University of Virginia’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program, but we are sorry to tell you that we cannot offer you a place this year. It’s a difficult business, selecting so few manuscripts from so many fine submissions. We wish we had better news for you. Sometime soon you will receive a more formal, computer-generated response from the Graduate School admissions system, but we hope this earlier response gives you more time to make other plans.

Still waiting to hear about funding!

Got a call from Jim Clark this morning. Super excited. Funding is a bit wonky at UNCG, so I won't know about the financial package until April 1st or so. That will largely determine whether I accept the offer or not. (3a/3r/0w - still waiting on U Oregon)

Poster below: e-mail Laura S. Swendson at [email protected]. She's their bearer of bad news.

Posters below where did you send your emails? I sent the program an email about a week ago and have yet to hear anything back from them. :(

Rejected from the same program last year. Keep writing and don't give up hope, everyone!

To the posters below: I am also waiting for my notification. All the posters have been fiction and poetry. Hoping they just haven't determined the CNF admission list yet. Saw that last year thy left students in limbo until April. I hope that doesn't happen to us. This is torture.

To the poster below, I'm still waiting for UCR too. I figure I'll wait until Friday and then try emailing Bryan Bradford again. Its nice to know I'm not the only one in limbo.

According to a program administrator, phone calls to accepted students have been made. If you haven't heard anything by now, chances are that you did not get into the program. Hope this helps some folks move on.
