- Thank you for applying to the University of Virginia’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program, but we are sorry to tell you that we cannot offer you a place this year. It’s a difficult business, selecting so few manuscripts from so many fine submissions. We wish we had better news for you. Sometime soon you will receive a more formal, computer-generated response from the Graduate School admissions system, but we hope this earlier response gives you more time to make other plans.
