Finally a decision! After nearly 5 months of wait. Rejected for good. Going to a better university. I hope others also find peace by today those who haven't had any update till now.

I never heard anything from American U at all. How disheartening to spend the not insignificant time and money to apply to this program and never hear anything other than a confirmation they received my application. Obviously I have been rejected, but I think it’s pretty disrespectful to not send an official notification of any kind.

To the poster below asking about Clarendon: I was informed about a week ago. I had been put forward for ESRC at the outset, but was eventually classified as Overseas, which made that moot. About three weeks ago I was then told that I was NOT successful with Clarendon. The news was entirely unexpected and I was very close to simply withdrawing my application and moving on to an offer I had elsewhere. The letter was emailed direct from Clarendon and specified that I had two weeks to notify them of my decision. Long story short, there are still people who will be getting late offers!

On the interview they said results would be sent in 2 weeks, but it's been 3 weeks now. Did anyone already receive feedback for Phd applications?

This is nuts, the session starts in less than four months, and they haven't finalised the admissions pool yet? What's going on!:(

Received offer about a month and a half ago, now offered Clarendon scholarship. Wahoooooo

Has anyone heard from the department yet? Last I heard we were supposed to know end of April.

Here is what the Department told me when I asked about my application status. "Unfortunately we are not able to give updates as applications are circulated throughout faculty once complete. We will not be able to confirm admissions until July as there is some rare instances where admission is offered last minute but for the most part, we have a very high number of qualified applicants and few positions to offer each year – this also is dependent on the research area matches and the particular funding available for each faculty member so it’s also a timing issue."

Mass and final rejection for all applicants at this time I guess.
