I did not get an official rejection from the department yet. But since I haven't heard back from them, I emailed the faculty that I was most interested in working with and who I contacted about my application before applying. He basically told me that I was not admitted. It's not official, but I think he contacted the committee and specifically asked about my application before getting back to me. Idk why they didn't officially notify me yet that I was rejected. Best of luck to everyone.

Ignore the waitlist. To the other 'ignore the waitlist' chemical engineering applicant from 3/16 - I know someone who's gotten accepted to the UCLA chemical engineering PhD program already. I assume they'll wait to release decisions for the rest of us at the last minute.

Dream come true!! Undergraduate from top NIT (India); Class rank 2; 1 publication and other under review; GPA: 9.62/10. The ESOP scholarship is yet to be decided. TTPB, Congrats. Please did you have a prior interview or communication with the grad school before your acceptance

received an email from a professor saying that my application was much likely to be admitted but cannot yet to be accommodated. The professor claimed that they are likely to make additional offers between April 1st and April 15th. Since I already accepted an offer from another school I informed the professor that I was no longer interested in being considered for the PhD program at Columbia.

To other applicants who are on Princeton Engineering's waitlist - did you receive a zoom invite to their discussion about first-year grad school experience? The email said "congratulations on your admission to grad school" which was super confusing. Is this just their courtesy move to invite the wl people as well?
