I had to reach out to them about the status of my application. They stated that I did not send in my transcripts (which I did! I have proof they received it). For that reason, I was rejected. I am a little upset because I wanted to go here. 3a/9r/2p

thank god. all phd apps have been rejections so far, so this is a backup in case i dont get into any. rejected from chicago's sociology phd and application was put through to the masters pool

We were impressed with your application! Our practice is to make a funding offer to all students we accept. Thus, we must secure funding lines before we make acceptance offers to all our qualified candidates.

Grad GPA. Accepted their offer, as it's more money and closer to my hometown.

GPA is grad. Applied 10 months ago at the urging of a professor I had been in contact with, so I am really disappointed. This is the only school I applied to so I guess that's it for me. Just got this email: I am sorry to inform you that you were not selected for admission to the graduate program for the 2024-2025 cycle. We wish you luck in your future endeavors. Really bummed.

Applied for PhD and only got admitted to the MA program. I got other good options so will decline the offer.

IGNORE STATUS. Has anyone heard back from Merced? I keep checking my portal and my emails but I haven't heard anything back yet. It probably is a rejection at this point obviously but... still holding onto hope maybe?? I've tried emailing them as well and haven't heard anything back. Please let me know if anyone else is in the same boat?
