Applied to the ECE school for the bioengineering Phd (as opposed to applying to biomedical engineering) 1 coauthor ship. a bunch of poster presentation coauthorships. 1 first author poster and 1 first author manuscript in the works. Worked as an RA 2 years after undergrad Legitimately shocked. Although there are many faculty that interested me here, my GPA was below the "minimum" on their website (3.5) and I had low expectations about my chances. I decided to say fuck it and applied anyways after I saw someone with a sub 3.5 GPA got accepted as well.

Application forwarded to Masters Program.

Got an acceptance email with no information on funding. Waiting to hear back from the department.

2 years research experience in the field of interest. No publication. No conference. Top 5 undergrad program in BioE.

No published research. Strong recommendation letters, two years of research experience, Top student in BioE undergrad.

Not surprised, they were only looking for PhD students. I applied for masters.
