To U: So I received an email from a faculty member on the imaging track. Since I don't give a shit, I am just gonna name him Xingde Li. He said he'd like to talk to me about my research interests and so on. So we chatted over Zoom. I feel like we have a good conversation, but I don't know. Eventually, I knew that I did not get the interview invite, so I emailed him asking when the committee will send out all the interviews. He got back to me and said "I didn't see any formal decision for interview sent out yet", which is a lie since I know someone else already got an email. So yeah I'd say this is a snub.

Honestly shocked. I thought I was going to be flat out rejected.

I haven't heard back from Cornell yet. For those that received the rejection, did anyone not reach out and just got a rejection email?

I had to email the BME contact yesterday to see receive the decision. I got extended an offer for the M. Eng program

Got offered an MEng instead.

Accepted + awarded Chancellor's Graduate Fellowship

Talked to a PI even before applying and invited to their Open House.

Best of my year, although not very high GPA. I got 2 very good recommendation letters and I worked very hard on the Personal Statement.

Consistently in the top 3/4 students every year during my Bachelor's from VIT Vellore, India. Relevant projects and research experience, good list of extracurricular activities, good LoRs and motivation letter, one relevant review paper submitted for publication. Super happy!!
