Waitlisted for the BME PhD but offered half-tuition scholarship for the BME Masters program. BU BME PhD is my first choice, please reject asap if you have better offers!

Got an email to check the portal & had a rejection letter waiting for me...A little sad about it, but I have heard back positively from other better-ranked programs! Mostly just applied to this school because of personal connections to the location, so hopefully they realize it's their loss eventually!! Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard back yet :)

To another person after talking with POI, did you receive a formal interview or just an informal chat? And btw, it might be true that professor didn't know whether the committee has sent out interviews since I've heard a couple friends receiving emails from POIs for interview initially, but later they realized they cannot reach out to them without the committee's invitation. (Though it was already Feb that time, but they really didn't know:( )

To the poster below who asked about how the rejections were being sent out: I emailed them to ask about their decision timeline and got a reply less than 2 hours later saying I was rejected for their PhD program. The offered to "consider" me for the MEng program, but they say this to everyone they reject for their PhD program so it doesn't mean anything. I said yes, because like, what have I to lose. It's not like they were asking for another fee. Still haven't got any updates on the MEng application either LOL. I imagine other people got their rejections the same way.
