Anyone here who got an admission offer from Calgary, who doesn't wanna accept it? cud u plz make your mind sooner? I'd appreciate it :(

I applied to the University of Calgary for Fall 2019 and I know I am rejected because I emailed the graduate office. I received a response saying that there was very limited funding and low availability of supervisors...

I got rejected a month ago and I still can't get over it - it just hurts me every single day. Not trying to be dramatic, but I feel like this is the right place to share my disappointment and unbearable feelings of getting rejected after being waitlisted for 5 months. At that time I had so much hope. It is simply the worst feeling I have ever had in my whole life - this PhD program meant so much to me. I just don't know what to do with my life and having to live with this feeling every day. I gave up so many great job offers with 4k a month for my PhD study, but I lost everything at the end. I really don't give a damn about the jobs offers as much as I do about my PhD study.

A nice Vday present from Calgary. First admission, wooohooo! No word on funding yet.

Received a standard rejection email today. Was surprised, as we had already talked back on December, and I was told that my topic wouldn't quite fit with any of their staff. They asked if I were willing to change my topic, as they might reconsider my application then. I declined, but still received the email today anyway.

min. $20,000 for the first 2 yrs including T.A. and scholarship. Canadian permanent resident (not land yet)
