Ignore waitlist. TTPB - the person asking about UCLA poi initials. Actually, the email I received did not mention any prof initials. It just mentioned that after I accept the offer, I will be assigned an academic advisor, but I am not sure if that entails an RA/TA opportunity with funding. My area is ML AI Vision. I am confused at this point whether to accept the offer. Does UCLA offer RA/TA-ships for MS students?

To the person who applied for PhD and got MS on 5 April: Congrats. Could you share your prof.'s initials (if you don't mind)? Also, are you planning to accept the offer?

Had applied to PhD. Offered me MS instead.

(not interview) There was no communication from the school and no update on my portal as well...I guess I will wait until tmr and email the program to ask about my status:/probably a rejection but I want to be sure before I accept other offers

COMMENT - to the folk below who reported acceptance by UCLA: congrats & thank you for sharing that! Would you mind if I ask whether this is an acceptance off the waitlist? I'm just someone who is on their waitlist and was hoping to avoid unnecessary waiting.

[Not a WL] TPB; has anything changed in your portal? I emailed UCLA to inquire about my status since I've heard nothing for 4 months. Got replied today that they have released all decisions for completed applications, and the applicant should be able to view the decisions in the portal. Meanwhile, there's still nothing updated in the portal. What a mess!
