University of Toronto Graduate School Admission Results

To the ECE poster below, I have emailed the grad office and received this generic response: "While it is still possible that a professor will still indicate interest in your application, many professors have already selected their students and as time goes on it becomes less and less likely that there will still be positions left to fill. If no professor has indicated interest in your application by mid-June, we will let you know that your application has been unsuccessful."

Domestic Canadian student. Status updated on ROSI to Invited to Register, nothing on ACORN yet.

I am not the poster below but thought it would be helpful to share the funding details. $8.5k tuition fees, $8.8k Fellowship, $8.2k TA, $4k RA. I would appreciate if others share as well. Thanks!

To the poster blow: have you been interviewed? and have you received any mail or email informing the results of your application? Feel so anxiety:(

The status in the application system has changed to "decision made" 10 days ago, yet I haven't heard from the Sociology department. What is happening?! Assuming rejection, but it's so weird. Anyone heard from them?

Domestic student. Received informal offer via email. No details about funding.

Accepted a week after the interview

ROSI status updated on March 1 (states "invited") and then a letter of acceptance arrived in the mail on March 7.

I am glad I tried. It was my dream school half a year ago.

I received finally the letter of offer with funding. I am very happy and will probably accept it. My first choice and i got it as well!

Canadian. Emailed asking for update after not receiving an interview, and was told was not selected.

An international student from NYU. Before this rejection, I have got PhD offers from two British universities. Now I am waiting for the result of funding applications from these two schools. Just come to say goodbye to North America.

International student, standard rejection. They couldn't offer a place. Letter is dated 28 February. Somehow I don't feel sorry because things happen for a reason. I know its better for me.

to person asking below- canadian citizen, undergrad at UofT, cGPA 3.7. Got an unofficial email saying i've been accepted last week and this week got official package with funding information etc.

To the poster below. it was mechanical. it implies that most/All POIs selected students for fall'17. If you didn't hear so far, you may be accepted (waiting for final processing/funding decision). Other possibility would be no POIs showed any interest on your application that means automatically rejection. i don't know about the waiting list program in mechanical.

Thanks you so much fork! I was applying for IE, but I guessed the situation there might be the same. Not surprised nor too disappointed though. Good luck for both of us later on!
