Accepted via email after calling. I was wait listed last week, and called to see status and tell them I have other offers. Canadian student from Ontario.

Super low Freshman/Sophomore GPA (1.0). Very high Junior/Senior GPA (3.9) in hard classes with large class loads. Triple Majored in Biochem, MCDB, Ecology/Evolutionary Biology. Two years of work experience as an inorganic chemist/process engineer.

Top choice - If you're not planning to go, please turn it down!!

Canadian Applicant - Graduate Assistant told me that if I had not heard anything from my POI then it was likely going to be a no. Letters went out this week so should be officially rejected soon.

I got accepted but I don't know anything about funding yet. I can't consider UBC offer without funding. Do anyone know when we find about funding ??? Is there anyone on same boat ???

I posted an acceptance on the 13th (below), I emailed about funding and the next day was told I have a first year scholarship of $9000 with the possibility of more, still waiting to hear about TAship.
