University of Alberta Graduate School Admission Results

Non EU applicant with a good to decent profile. Rejected mostly due to some mediocre grades in the UG subjects. I was notified via a general mail from the administration. However official rejection mail along with the reason is yet to come.

apply for the direct PhD with the bachelor's degree, but the prof. recommend to change to MSc in the first year. No official offer until now, and I plan to ask about the progress.

High GPA, Honours degree, research experience, excellent references. Can't believe I waited this long for a rejection, but such is life. Will try again next year! Don't give up, and good luck to those who got in.

At first I was given the standard rejection letter back in April, but I guess a spot opened up so I got in! I wish they saved me the tears and told me I was waitlisted or something, but regardless I am beyond excited! Good luck to everyone else

MEng self funding, GPA 7.3/10, international student with 1 year working experience. Not much surprised but they took it too long, I applied in Nov 2020. Finding other school for next term.

Email to check online portal. Denied online.

Did anyone got a dates to expect admits to m.eng. if not can anyone contact the mech grad for dates.They aren't replying to my mails.

I don't think they sent out many admits this fall. This is really disappointing as I could have applied to other colleges if it was mentioned earlier. I hope they provide better information next time.

Not a Interview, any one hear from the MA program? Any news?

To the prev poster : (ignore interview):- thank you ! Can u send me the name of the fb group ? I reviewed some old results on gradcafe from previous years. It seems Alberta doesn't inform some people /update it's portal even into April sometimes that they have been rejected. Having not heard from them yet , things seem bleak now. I am worried lol
