This program was my top choice. Unfortunately the interview weekend was very disappointing. Typically, most programs admit the majority of the people that they interview. At this GPP, they admitted 4/19 interviewees - most of which had advanced degrees, are currently working at the NIH, or both. I felt like I was being shown a school that I wouldn't have the chance to attend (I was right). Go for the trip to Bethesda and a chance to talk to PIs in your field, but be very careful about getting your hopes up if you receive an interview. Chances are that you're bound to be disappointed.
