Graduate School Admission Results

I am glad I tried. It was my dream school half a year ago.

I received finally the letter of offer with funding. I am very happy and will probably accept it. My first choice and i got it as well!

Canadian. Emailed asking for update after not receiving an interview, and was told was not selected.

An international student from NYU. Before this rejection, I have got PhD offers from two British universities. Now I am waiting for the result of funding applications from these two schools. Just come to say goodbye to North America.

International student, standard rejection. They couldn't offer a place. Letter is dated 28 February. Somehow I don't feel sorry because things happen for a reason. I know its better for me.

to person asking below- canadian citizen, undergrad at UofT, cGPA 3.7. Got an unofficial email saying i've been accepted last week and this week got official package with funding information etc.

To the poster below. it was mechanical. it implies that most/All POIs selected students for fall'17. If you didn't hear so far, you may be accepted (waiting for final processing/funding decision). Other possibility would be no POIs showed any interest on your application that means automatically rejection. i don't know about the waiting list program in mechanical.

Thanks you so much fork! I was applying for IE, but I guessed the situation there might be the same. Not surprised nor too disappointed though. Good luck for both of us later on!

POI let me know via email he would not be extending an offer. Class act professor even without the positive news.

Offered conditional admission- March 23rd, 11:30A.M Toronto

For anyone interested, I called the admissions office and was told that not all admissions have been sent out yet - that they are going out on a "rolling basis" (whatever that means). Accepted students can expect to hear back via email, phone and post.

To the poster below, thanks so much for the info! Good to hear we might still have a chance. I got rejected from other schools, UT is my last hope. Good luck to all of us. (Canadian undergrad, B+GPA, no related work exp...)

Emailed the department and all short-listed candidates have already been contacted and decision letters will be sent out. So basically I'm expecting a rejection since I wasn't contacted. BA from McMaster with a 3.9 GPA. What a joke...

Domestic student. Got email March 4th but only formally accepted later. General MA stream, TAship only.

Accepted for 3.5 year Masters program. Canadian applicant, undergraduate degree in Interior Design from Ryerson University as well as significant research experience at U of T. Worked at Quadrangle Architects.
