ok so the funny thing about this was they tried to do a more “personalized” rejection but they got their admin person to send it anyway

Applied to creative writing fiction emphasis. Received an email saying that the University of Mississippi isn't accepting new applicants this year due to lack of funding and that applicants should seek reimbursement of applications fees. I'm not even upset, just sad to see humanities departments shrinking.

Received email from Melissa Ginsburg that they are not admitting anyone this year due to funds. :(

A general email, one section stating: "We want to emphasize that your academic credentials and research potential are strong, and we are very enthusiastic about you joining the ILS program. However, because of national funding uncertainties, this year we are extending offers in a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Therefore, we will contact you if a position that matches your research interest becomes available." Good luck to everyone!
