Was very lucky

The email came about nearly two months ago. However, I haven't heard anything from them recently and it should be about time to make final decisions. I wonder if anyone who has received but decided not to accept it could nicely refer to me or if you know anyone who might help me with that. My email address is rosyme215@163.com. I really want to go to the USC to pursue my PhD and to be a linguistic researcher is my unyielding goal. I have worked hard and I might use some luck from you. Thank you in advance.

Should we accept an offer we have or wait till April 15? Last year based on gradcafe it seems like most people never actually heard rejections and were just ghosted.

TTPB; i saw the results on you.usc. results might already been long out for phd applicants.

TTPB: I also didn't receive any communication till now, no response of mails too. It looks like a reject to me. POI also not responding. You got your result on "you.usc.edu"?

TTPB: I got an email saying my portal was updated at around midnight.

TTPB: Did you get an email or on the portal? I haven't heard back anything from USC and they aren't replying to email either.

After a long wait it finally came today

the first formal offer, finally have a place to go

TTPB: I was referring to your first post, I know that in the second post you said unlikely, but I was pointing out that there's an inconsistency in your first and second post since your first post didn't indicate any exception to admits being finalized.

Do you understand the difference between 'unlikely' and 'impossible'? Admissions are finalized and sent out but students may decline offers, which means it is unlikely to get acceptance by now but not impossible. The more you rely on false hopes, the more you would be disappointed when you got rejection in the end.
