I was originally waitlisted (notified 2/4/25), but (thankfully) was given an offer.

If you already received the offer and have a better place to go to, please turn down the offer to let the department know! Learned from the manager (please do not bother the manager now since too many mails to address!) that the first round offers are sent out, and was told currently on the waitlist.

The English Department faculty here at Northwestern University have completed the process of reviewing applications for the 2025 Litowitz MFA+MA class, and unfortunately, we are unable to extend you an offer of admission. Our program's size is carefully controlled, and we're obliged to turn down many excellent applicants as a result. Still, our faculty appreciate having been given the chance to read the work you submitted, as well as the letters of recommendation written on your behalf. I should mention that the number of applications we receive each year prevents us from providing feedback or advice related to the materials you sent. GPA is grad. I want to tell everyone: winter in Chicago really isn’t that bad anymore, and hasn’t been for nearly 10 years. It’s a beautiful city and I’m happy to have done my MA here. Hopefully you get a chance to come one way or another:-)
