Being admitted to top universities in Europe is too hard!

We would like to inform you that your application has been accepted by the EDRS Admissions’ Committee and that you are admissible to the program. The next step in order to be admitted to the program is to be hired in a laboratory and to have a thesis director. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that only 1/3 of the admissible candidates are hired. Your application will shortly be available to the EDRS affiliated professors, meaning that should a professor be interested in your profile, he/she will most likely contact you within the next two months, either for further discussion or for an interview invitation.

From a top 3 engineering school of France, after preparatory classes. 8 out of 9 IELTS. Top 10% in my school. No papers, but a strong interest in robotics since childhood (such as nation-wide competitions)

Interviewed with a lab in April before applying to doctoral school

One undergrad research scholarship, 5 posters presented at congresses. We were obliged to apply strict criteria in comparing the many excellent applications we received, and have unfortunately had to decline some candidates. Please note that the contents of the discussions by the Admission Committee are private. We can therefore not provide you with additional details about the decision. Please be advised that you may, indeed, reapply after one year, however, as the application form standards and demands on acceptance into EPFL doctoral programs are both high and rising, unless there are important developments in your profile, your chances of being admitted in one year will not be significantly higher than this year.
