Got an email from Aileen Murphy to set up an interview. So excited!

In which Hopeful shows Afraid that the next step is sturdier than they had at first anticipated. Huh, maybe we won't fall to our deaths after all, Afraid thinks. Accepted to American University! Cool cool.

Really nice phone call with program director

Very exciting! Only six people on the waitlist and six accepted.

Sort of tacky that you don't even hear within the email that you were rejected. Instead you get to wait that delicious five minutes between reading the email and trying to remember your UT ID. C'est la vie.

Email from Catherine Bush. On a “very short waiting list.” My first choice, so fingers crossed.

Very nice email stating I was highly considered and neither accepted or admitted but could hear soon.

It was a clear and informative letter from the director letting me know I was placed on their short wait list. Good luck to all those applying to this program.

Kind of unexpected but definitely exciting! I didn't think that the phone interview went as well as it could have but, hey, I'm in!
