American student from T20 MA program with a published paper and three research projects. Was originally waitlisted months ago. Heard back from program earlier this week that 1 spot might open up on waitlist and I was the top pick. Emailed today that the last accepted person to not reply missed the deadline, so I was accepted. Very good fit, 5 years funding, 28k stipend. This is my only acceptance so I’m extremely excited.
