- TPB: Actually, it's very clear what it means. Think of it from the institutions point of view (which is where she's coming from). They have 34 "offers" and are looking for 20 "acceptances". The "acceptances" would be acceptances of their offer, not acceptance into the program (which to the institution is called an "offer"). In order for more people to come off the watilist, they'll likely wait until enough people have declined their offers so that there's no risk of overfilling the program to send out more offers from the wait list. I highly doubt there will be many more offers made (if any at all), depends on how deep the deadlock of students on other waitlists really is.
