4 different scholarships from different countries, participation in international conference, one article published in another country. Contacted one professor before applying, he personally invited me to apply, said that he wants me to be his student and will do anything possible to have me as his advisee, so we can do some wonderful research projects together. Btw, I also speak Mandarin and Russian. Rejection came via the system. This is very upsetting on a personal level.
