Rejected and equally as surprised as other folk. This program was a safety for me. Based on my academic record, professional experience and interviews with Brown faculty members, I was under the impression that I was a shoo-in. Anyhow, I'm not extremely disappointed as the lack of responsiveness and interest from the program staff and faculty over the past couple of months, left much to be desired from the program. I interviewed in mid-January and didn't hear a peep until yesterday when I received a decision letter. Seriously?!? We're 3 days away from April 1st. C'mon... Despite it all, I am happy to report that I have been accepted to top rank programs, including my 1st choice- so, my advice to all others who have been rejected in this application cycle (or applying in future cycles), don't adapt a defeatist attitude throughout the application process. Keep the hope alive. Good luck!
