- For the people who asked about Ann Arbor. Last year I applied MSE in U of Michigan, they send many rejections on April 18, 2013. Before that, I emailed which said: Thank you for your inquiry. Your application has been reviewed, and at this time, most of our admission decisions have been made. If you have not heard from us via e-mail with a decision, it means that it is unlikely that you will receive an admission offer from us. We receive a large number of highly qualified applicants and competition for admission is extremely high. Sadly, there are far more potentially qualified applicants than there are openings in our program. While we don't have a ranked waiting list, we do hold your application in our pool in the event that more admission decisions might be made. We will notify you of a final decision via e-mail once all decisions have been made, usually this is toward the end of April.
