Interview was in early December. Acceptance notification was sent through email on February 10th with a research scholarship.

I had an interview on Nov 23, 2023, and I am applying for the Ph.D. with the GRE waived.

I was interviewed in mid-November. In about two weeks, my advisor informed me that I was being nominated for the scholarship by the department. The department made a provisional offer in late-January which it said was subject to approval from Faculty. On the 23rd of Feb, the Faculty emailed me the offer with research scholarship.

Got an offer with full funding

This has been quite a roller coaster journey for me to get admission with a prestigious fellowship. I had to reach out to professors, go through an interview, and also submit a research proposal, along with filling out all the essays. I applied to 9 schools, was accepted to 5, and chose UC Davis because of its excellent research facilities. I hope it will be a great journey for me.

Got accepted with four years of funding after being on the waitlist. This was my dream school, so I accepted the offer.

I had several informal interviews with my potential PI and was informed in late March that I had been placed on the waitlist. At that time, however, the ASU portal still showed my application as “In Review.” Throughout the process, I was not able to learn much about my status through the administrative office; when I asked, I was only told that my application was still with the committee. In practice, the only meaningful updates I received came from my potential PI. For those applying to SGSUP next year, I would strongly recommend staying in touch with your potential PI, since the official channels may not provide much clarity about where your application stands.

I was initially waitlisted, but then the professor reached out to me by email, spoke with me virtually, and offered me admission. I’m still not sure whether I’ll accept it, but I’m really happy to have received an offer from a top school like UGA.
