ETH BSc. CS Weighted average 5.1/6. I did 4 Jobs in technical fields (Sensor chip manufacturing, Data Scientist, Software Engineer, Aircraft Radar operation). Did my Bachelor thesis in ML at a tier 1 company. Highlighted these achievements strongly in the Motivation Letter. I applied in the second window only for students from swiss universities. No LoR. No publications. No TA Experience.

Friendly warning: ETH mostly admits students from Switzerland, particularly those with a bachelor’s from ETH or EPFL. (Unfortunately, I found out too late) If you’re not from there, I’d recommend don’t waste your money applying unless you’re wealthy enough, as other countries could be a much more cost-effective option, like the U.S. (By the way, hopefully, ETH was just my backup wish, and I got into top Ivy League programs with 4% acceptance rate!) 1.3 german gpa from technical university, ranked first in class

From PoliBA, not much research experience, no internships, some participation in informatics olympiads. Really surprised of the result, maybe the GRE made the difference.

1.4/1.0 from TU Wien, concurrently studied molecular biology for four semester alongside CS bachelor's degree. No CS related internships or work experience at the time of application.
