Acceptance without interview.

Phone call from the Administrative Director. An official announcement should be made via email within one week.

Finalist interview. The interview was held two days later, on 02/27, by two faculty members. One seemingly distracted and clearly in a rush. The other was highly engaged and interested, asking questions, taking notes. The interview focused primarily on my PhD research and proposal. Was told I should hear back from them in 10 days-2 weeks.

Received a voicemail and email asking me to call back. When I called they asked to schedule an interview for the next day. The man on the phone was super nice.

No email but checked the portal. Waiting to hear about funding separately

Actually I got my decision about waiting ;ists in March 10, but till now I got no other information from NYU. Since NYU is my last hope, all the school I applied except NYU send me rejection said this year's competition is fierce...... I'd like to know whether other students in waiting lists got any information? Thank u sincerely.

Applied on January 2021, was interviewed on February 10th. Faculty said they really liked my application and porfolio and I felt the overall interview went well. Got my rejection on March 31st. I got an email that told me to check my application portal and found the letter there. I'm not too surprised or sad given they only take 2 or 4 students for my specialization each year, so just getting an interview was a nice accomplishment.

I stalked that portal all day!!

Finally release from the waitlist.

Just got an email that I am STILL on the waitlist. Ugh.

Got email to check portal.

Wah-wah

I'm from the Philippines and I got in.

Email to check portal

I havent yet received any interview call. Should I assume I got rejected?

No interview. Received an email to check the status portal.

I just got a %, and not a GPA on my undergrad transcript. My AVG in my undergrad (Bachelor of Design) was ~85%, and I had written a thesis during my fourth year. I believe my work experience + portfolio + references are what really made my application much stronger. Had an interview for the program on Jan 31st Got an email to check the portal on March 10th. Got both an admissions offer letter, and a scholarship offer letter as well!
