Received a nice email from the graduate director. Said they were "most impressed" with my application! Still awaiting decision on funding but very excited! One of my top choices!

Not currently funded. Sigh.

Checked the online application status portal. Standard rejection letter. Not too surprised.

Email from POI discussing details/interests. Good fit. He anticipated receipt of official letter.

Letter from DGS dated March 4 about acceptance and possibility for Associate Instructorship, "should one become available within the next few weeks."

Very nice personal email. The faculty member I applied to work with is retiring, and they said it would no longer be a good fit.

Email from the Classics chair. Very nice letter saying the department recommended me for admission to the graduate school. Currently waitlisted for funding but informed that there is a "good chance" they can offer me a teaching assistantship. Psyched!

No funding yet, although the 'major' scholarships have already handed out. As far as I know the department had no more than 2 spots for funding this year.
