I guess same general rejection like others, ... one of over 210 PhD applications, limit the number of admissions, unable to provide individual feedback...

[Ignore interview] For those of you who had a phone interview with the director, have you guys received any info about the open house yet?

Generic letter -- 210 applicants this year; cannot provide feedback

Math background wasn't strong enough for this uni they said

Rejection after what seemed like a great interview day, lots of 'strong candidate'- and 'reassurance'-type comments. Built my hopes up a bit, but I guess that's life! Notification through email to check portal: Unfortunately, after careful consideration, you were not among the candidates selected for admission. I trust that you have been or will be admitted for graduate study to another university of your choice. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you continued success in your studies Too bad I didn't get in anywhere else @ their last statements!

Email to check portal, very excited!
